Referrals Pathways

We have a duty of care to our patients to ensure that should they require further tests, investigations or treatment that we signpost them to the appropriate provider for such a service.

Pimlico Health has a system of all patients referrals being sent via our Referral Manager .  No referral will be made with out patient being seen/assessed prior by a clinician in our practice.

Our practice in embarking on a process of peer reviewing referrals (2nd clinical opinion) prior to them leaving the practice, to ensure they are send to the appropriate service accordingly.

If patients have any questions, or concerns regarding their referral they can either contact our Referrals Manager Brenda Slane via 020 7834 6969 or, alternatively if patients are chasing the status of a referral, they may wish to chase the referred to provider in the first instance.

Patients must note that if they DNA such appointments they refer, this will affect their waiting time for their appointment, and some providers may move you back to the end of the waiting list (which is a max 18 weeks in accordance with Dept. of Health) guidance.

There are a number of services patients can now self refer onto such as;
